OVERVIEW
This one day course brings the methods and benefits of practical competition shooting skills and training to law enforcement. Previously competition shooting has been thought of as a “game” and not “real-life” enough to be considered beneficial to law enforcement. Now this trend is growing with the realization that even lower level competition skills are massively beneficial to anyone who is expected to perform with a firearm. This is the goal of the one day class: Performance. Every officer with a duty weapon is expected to be able to perform with it, the higher the skill level, the better. Like athletes, there are many facets to the job at hand. Speed, precision, safety, and awareness with a firearm are the facets to be augmented by high-quality firearm performance training.
GOALS
Proper Dry-Fire Training – Greater reps on the gun, more time gun handling, how high quality dry fire training for speed, safety, and precision is done.
Live Fire – Mechanics like grip, trigger control, safety discipline, shot calling, are all skills that are covered in detail, not just what they are, but how to train and improve them.
Spatial and Firearm Awareness – Greater connection, in greater detail to the target, and your own firearm.
Vision – No shooter, LE or competitor, should shoot faster than they can see what they want to hit. How to train and improve your vision with a firearm.
Shot Calling – Defined as a shooter’s ability to know where their rounds are going when the gun goes off. Imperative in competition, and all other shooting scenarios.
Movement & Positions – Shooting while moving, moving then shooting, shooting in different positions, how to train it.

-All officers are expected to bring their duty equipment, NOT competition equipment-
-Safety requirements will be specified before class, and enforced. Failure to adhere may result in limited participation
